If there’s one uniquely memorable way to celebrate the timeless beauty of Northern California, it’s by way of one incredibly luxurious 43′ Yacht on the golden San Francisco Bay. Captain Josh was the consummate host and sunset sailor extraordinaire. Upon arrival, Captain Josh greeted our party aboard his cruising vessel of beauty as if we were stepping foot onto our own private sanctuary at sea.

We arrived to the yacht after a full day touring the vineyards of Healdsburg and Napa Valley. The sun was just setting into the western sky and what better way than to share the day than with a marmalade sunset sail around the bay.

The cost of $150/hour for a sail with a minimum two-hour required sail is a definite bonus for anyone who is willing and wanting to understand the very beauty that reveals itself to you, while cruising the SF bay during the onset of a paradise twilight. The memories that are made in the moment, the divine sky blessing that perfect warmth of wind just across your cheekbone; heavenly.

It’s an invaluable experience which I and my colleagues highly recommend for any and/or every person staying the night or a week or simply taking a sail with Captain Josh, to treat themselves; it would be a sacrilege otherwise.

Captain Josh displayed his seasoned sailing expertise and effortlessly created the ultimate sail of a lifetime for our group. We were welcomed to bring along cheeses and wines and fruits; the perfect pairing for a saltwater sail.

Returning to the yacht’s docking area after our gorgeous 2-hour SF bay cruise of a lifetime, we said our goodbye’s and gratitude to Captain Josh for the evening and nestled into the cozy comforts of one of many sleeping quarters just below deck. Falling asleep as if we returned to the womb was a slice of heaven; the promise of a new day was ours for the taking.

Without a morsel of doubt, we’ll be sure to once again make another http://www.airbnb.com guest appearance on this extraordinary yacht. The hospitality high exceeded our expectations far and beyond and for this, we are graciously appreciative.

Thank you Captain Josh for one of the most memorable experiences that we’ll for always keep with us.

Don’t sit there – get out there on Josh’s beautiful clean boat. Josh sailed around the bay to a few spots he thought he would love and asked if we had any preference and even let us steer a little. Josh provided an excellent experience and is also a great host. You won’t be disappointed. I look forward to the next time I’m in San Francisco and hope our company would consider a small event.

Captain Josh was so fun! The weather was beautiful. The boat is beautiful (and safe). We went out from 1-5pm. Stopped at Angel Island and enjoyed lunch. We had two people with us that normally get sea sick, however, they were both fine even on the slightly choppy bay water.

It was nice to go out on the Bay with a Captain who had personality. He was interactive, joked around and we loved learning about his past adventures and future sailing adventures. Great having a San Francisco local to guide us. [I] would highly recommend for a family outing, romantic trip (he does B&B trips) or corporate outings.

I was looking for something to do with my girlfriend for July 4th weekend and came across Captain San Francisco on living social. I decided to give Captain Josh a call to check his availability. Josh recommended that we reserve a private package which can accommodate up to six people.

I got two other couples to join us and between the six of us, the price was pretty reasonable. Josh allowed us to bring our own food and drinks on board (no red wine due to staining) and also provided us with a large bottle of wine.

We met Josh at pier 1 and he quickly got us on his boat and explained the safety procedures and rules. He had an auxiliary cable for us to play our own music. Josh was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We polished down our drinks and food while cruising around on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was very relaxing and damn near therapeutic.

Everyone in my party had a great experience. We are looking forward to hitting the water again some time soon and I have recommended Captain San Francisco to some of my friends.

Captain Josh made our day taking us out on the bay!

I purchased the living social deal a while back as a Christmas present for my boyfriend since he’s been year for years and hasn’t properly sailed out in the bay. After a few failed attempts (my traveling schedule vs. captain Josh’s traveling schedule vs. other living socials), Josh gave me a super good deal to invite friends along instead. This was super awesome! We played our own music, brought our own booze, and Josh was super chill to hang out with – overall GOOD SAIL VIBEZ.

We have yet to sail with Josh again! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Captain San Francisco to anyone who is looking to explore the Bay with a few friends and a few drinks!

A friend of mine chartered Captain Josh’ boat for a tour on the Bay to watch the America’s Cup. It was absolutely a fantastic experience. Josh was very cool, took good care of us and was very adept at navigating the bay and dealing with other skippers and boats who were not as well behaved. He also got us prime positioning to watch the regatta. His boat is in great condition. On the way back he put up the sail and we came in without the motor. I am definitely going to charter Josh’ boat in the future. If you get a group of friends together it’s very reasonable. You can of course also arrange to bring food and wine, etc. Josh is a great guy.

I wanted to introduce my husband, Randy, who was new to the City,  (from Post Falls, Idaho) to the “City by the Bay!” I came across a great Living Social deal for a yacht cruise! I would get a voucher for two! The yacht would take us  around the Bay, Sausalito, under the GGB, etc.  We would enjoy the breeze and see the sights, and receive complimentary wine! Sounded like just what I was looking for, and got the deal! Called and let the Captain know I had purchased the deal and wanted to take the cruise as early as possible! He gave us a date and time, and we were bubbling with anticipation! lol! At least I was!The day came, and we were to board the yacht, in Sausalito! The day was sunny, but the windchill because of the rolling clouds! Sausalito is beautiful! Suddenly, I have call from Captain Josh! As we were talking, he was backing up to where we were, on the dock! He gave us concise boarding instruction, and helped us aboard, Captain Josh I must say, is handsome! We introduced ourselves, he gave the “do’s & don’t’s!”  Old school music was playing, of the Motown ilk, and we settled in! The Captain got out a bottle of cheap white wine! Really!!! That is what the label said! “Cheap White Wine!” It was quite tasty! The handsome, smart, and engaging, Captain Josh was a great conversationalist, as well as a tour/nature guide! We saw otters, a duck family, and of course the San Francisco Bridge, Alcatraz, vintage vessels, and many other cool things! The yacht was beautiful, but too windy to have it’s sails up! Would have loved to have seen that! Maybe, next time! There will definitely be a next time! Whether you are lucky to purchase a sale “voucher,” or not, you could not get more fun, and value for your buck! My husband, Randy, is the gauge I use for satisfaction! He was very satisfied!!! Advice: Layer your clothing! Temperature changes often! Have a great Charter!!!

An experience that you’ll remember for a lifetime!Josh did an incredible job making our trip perfect!

I spoke with Josh and requested a weekend that worked for me and he put all of the details together.

As we cruised around the bay Josh made us feel comfortable and safe.

He supplied lunch as well as wine.

Allowing us to bring any drinks and food that we wanted was a bonus too!

The boat was above and beyond what I expected!

A great way to spend the day with friends! Josh did not disappoint and I will be re-booking with him for another memorable day!!!

LIFE IS GOOD – EAT, DRINK, CRUISE, SHARE AMAZING LIFE STORIES and BE HAPPY… Captain Josh is an accomplished sailor and world traveler. He is extremely knowledgeable with regard to sailing and history of the Bay Area. Josh knows how to make his guests feel right at home on the boat – from his ability to strike up an immediate bond between us to his blessing for us to freely move around and explore the boat. Whatever we needed, Josh was right there to deliver. We look forward to future adventures with him. Thank you!

Bought the “sunset” San Fran cruise for my girlfriend’s birthday and had a great time! Josh and his lady are great hosts and very knowledgeable about the area…saw alcatraz, the sea lions, the golden gate bridge, the stadium and everything in the middle. The boat is nice and we had some good white wine with cheese and crackers provided. Beautiful! We plan to link up with him again for a team-building trip in the future.

Captain josh was amazing and professional. He took my girlfriend and I out to a secluded cove on the back side of angel island. It was beautiful, no wind, nice and warm. Afterwards we cruised the coast line checking out the amazing multi million dollar property’s around Tiberon and then cruised under the Golden Gate Bridge for sunset …. All in all a huge success. I highly recommend that anyone looking to cruise around the bay on a top notch vessel with a seriously top notch captain seeks out captain josh.

Captain Josh took us out to watch the America’s Cup Regatta and the air show and we had an amazing experience.  He knows the water, the history of the area and EXACTLY where to position the boat to get the best views.  I plan to sail with him again very soon.  I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to see San Francisco (and it’s environs) in a different light.
