SF WING FOIL ACADEMY REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: 3/1/25

OVERVIEW

This refund policy applies to all lessons, tours, and services booked with SF Wing Foil Academy, whether booked directly through our instructors or through our online booking software. By booking any service with SF Wing Foil Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this refund policy.

REFUND SCHEDULE

Full Refund (100%)

  • Timeframe: Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to the scheduled lesson/tour date
  • Process: Full refund will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method
  • Requirements: Written notice of cancellation must be provided via email or through our booking system

Partial Refund (50%)

  • Timeframe: Cancellations made 3-7 days prior to the scheduled lesson/tour date
  • Process: 50% refund will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method
  • Requirements: Written notice of cancellation must be provided via email or through our booking system

No Refund – Reschedule Option Only

  • Timeframe: Cancellations made within 72 hours (3 days) of the scheduled lesson/tour time
  • Alternative: One-time rescheduling opportunity to a mutually agreed upon date and time
  • Restrictions: Rescheduled session must be completed within 90 days of the original booking date
  • No-Show Policy: Failure to appear for a scheduled lesson without prior notice will result in forfeiture of the full payment with no rescheduling option

WEATHER-RELATED CANCELLATIONS

Instructor-Initiated Weather Cancellations

  • If SF Wing Foil Academy cancels a lesson/tour due to unsafe weather conditions, clients will receive:
    • Full credit toward a future session (no expiration date)
  • Weather conditions deemed unsafe include but are not limited to: lightning, severe storms, dangerous wind conditions, or poor water visibility

Client-Requested Weather Cancellations

  • If a client chooses to cancel due to weather conditions that SF Wing Foil Academy deems safe for instruction, standard cancellation policies apply
  • We encourage clients to trust our professional judgment regarding weather safety

PAYMENT AND PROCESSING

Refund Processing

  • All approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days
  • Credit card refunds may take additional time to appear on statements depending on your financial institution
  • Processing fees charged by third-party payment processors are non-refundable

Booking Fees

  • Any booking or convenience fees charged by third-party booking platforms are non-refundable
  • SF Wing Foil Academy booking system fees may be refunded in accordance with the refund schedule above

RESCHEDULING POLICIES

Standard Rescheduling

  • Clients canceling within 72 hours may reschedule once to any available slot within 90 days
  • Rescheduling must be requested at the time of cancellation
  • Subject to instructor availability and weather conditions

Rescheduling Limitations

  • Only one rescheduling opportunity is provided per booking
  • Failure to attend a rescheduled session results in forfeiture of payment
  • Rescheduled sessions are subject to the same cancellation policy as original bookings

GROUP BOOKINGS AND PACKAGES

Group Lesson Policies

  • Group bookings (3+ participants) follow the same refund schedule
  • Partial group cancellations may affect pricing and lesson viability
  • Minimum participant requirements may apply for group rates

Package Deals and Multi-Session Bookings

  • Each individual session within a package is subject to this refund policy
  • Unused sessions in packages expire 12 months from purchase date
  • Package refunds will be calculated based on completed vs. remaining sessions

EXCEPTIONS AND SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Equipment Rental Cancellations

  • Equipment-only rentals follow the same cancellation timeframes
  • Equipment damage deposits are separate from lesson fees and subject to separate terms

Private Instruction

  • Private lessons follow standard refund policies
  • Instructor travel fees may be non-refundable for cancellations within 24 hours

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Refund Disputes

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to [contact email]
  • Disputes will be reviewed within 3 business days
  • Final decisions rest with SF Wing Foil Academy management

Appeal Process

  • Refund denials may be appealed once within 14 days of the decision
  • Appeals must include additional documentation or circumstances not previously considered

MODIFICATION OF POLICY

SF Wing Foil Academy reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or notification to clients. Bookings made prior to policy changes will be subject to the policy in effect at the time of booking.
